Ichiro's Malt Double Distilleries

The range Ichiro's Malt is named after Ichiro Akuto, the grandson of the founder of Hanyu distillery. A vatting of two casks of whisky, one from Hanyu (built by Ichiro's grandfather in 1941) and one from the newly opened Chichibu distillery, owned by Ichiro himself. It is a blend of sherry matured Hanyu single malt, together with Chichibu single malt matured in Mizunara oak, creating an interesting mix of flavours.

Nose: Fruity, floral, sandalwood notes, pears, apples.

Palate: Nutty, caramel, citrus, cinnamon, minty.

Finish: Dry with sweet spices and a tinge of smokiness.
