Nikka Whisky founder Masataka Taketsuru, known as the "father of Japanese whisky", brought together all his passion and know-how to create Tsuru blended whisky. Over 17 years, this highly refined blend has been honed further by the hands of time to be reborn as the pinnacle of Nikka whisky. Its dignified nobility shrouded in delicate grace is the very essence of Nikka. This whisky was blended with a well-rounded depth and smooth, refined palate in mind. To this end, a soft but luxuriant type of malt was selected as the key ingredient. This delicate balance, achieved by the Nikka Whisky team of blenders, is imbued with mellowness, sweet balmy freshness and smooth drinkability after 17 years of aging. The elegant expansion of its nose and palate is due to the careful harmonizing of strictly selected raw ingredients.
Nose: Floral, creamy maduka wild honey, vanilla, caramel, nutmeg, citrus fruits, peach and green apple.
Palate: Oat, honey, toast grain, vanilla and light oak.
Finish: Long. Full nutty walnuts, and caramel. Well balance with the nose and taste.
