  Kurayoshi 8 Years Malt Whisky

  Kurayoshi is a new whisky brand introduced in April 2016 by Matsui Distillery. The distillery is located in Tottori, a coastal prefecture on southern Honshu. Their whiskies are sold only to the Japanese domestic market, and are characterised by aging with the pure underground waters of Daisen Mountains. At the same site also sits Matsui Breweries, which produces traditional Japanese sake and shochu.

  The Kurayoshi Single Malt Whisky 8 Years, a good introduction to Kurayoshi's line of aged whisky. It was aged for over 8 years in a carefully selected oak barrel.

  Nose: Sweet malt, fresh grass, fruity Palate:

  Floral notes, lemon zest, vanilla cream

  Finish: Smooth, medium to long
